VIKING RAIDS
Our "Raids" are Viking themed, flash mob-style charity fundraising events.
where guests can participate in activities, contests, auctions and win prizes.
What is
a Raid?

Our Viking Raid groups march from a few blocks away to the venue, in full Viking kit and while sounding horns, banging drums and announcing that they are on their way to "Raid" the venue.
Upon arrival, the Sea Wolves will announce why they are there and what games and special events that guests and patrons can expect
The Sea Wolves will announce and run all games, auctions and contests and providing an announcer for each of the activities including a charity auction.

Patrons can take photos with us and hear us tell tales from Norse mythology as well as our own adventures at sea.
We are family friendly and bring kids crafts and we even do boffer (soft) training when a safe amount of space is available.
When possible we will bring our Ship(s) either on the water or parked on a covered trailer and our Pop-up Viking Ship museum either inside your establishment or outside in our tent.

Learn to play Viking age games like Hnefatafl, dice games like 9 mens morris, as well as Trivia.
The more adventurous will want to try our pickled herring eating contest and outdoor sports like Daskus (fish slap) and tug-of-war/ skinntrekk

The Sea Wolves are all enthusiastically knowledgeable about Viking age history, Norse mythology and Viking longships, including our own ships and their history.
Most of us are also sailors, builders, and educators of people of all ages.
Some of our Sea Wolves are trained steel weapon combat fighters that perform Viking combat demonstrations in a corded-off area.

One of our favorite places to eat, the good folks at Manic Meatballs serve Viking-approved meals with plenty of extras, including gluten-free and vegan options like the Impossible Meatballs.

What we offer:
In addition to what is listed above, we will also add your business to our Raids and Allies pages.
Advertising on our website and social media multiple times, leading up to the event.
Our hosts need only to help set the date and time, run their business as usual on a busy day, and coordinate with Sea Wolf Voyages on the charity donation and prizes for contest winners (gift cards to your own establishment are popular).
When we sell items, 10% of our profits go to the chosen charity, while the rest go toward our mission of education, charity, and community building.
Raids are charity fundraisers, SWV typically receives a donation of 10% of the Venue’s profits while there.
