Our fleet
The sieann
Provided to SWV by the Shipwrights sister, Sieann Zoeger
Built in 1978 by Sieann’s father Paul and her Brother Don Bettger and originally named for Sieann herself, the Sieann is a 20’ masterpiece of beautifully carved wood, durable fiberglass, brass kevels/ cleats whose horns form viking warriors, as well as other ornate accents throughout the ship, and other various materials.
A testament to the extreme skill and bold tenacity of the Bettger family, she withstood the test of time through solid construction and the loving protection of her namesake.
the anona
aka the sea pup
Generously donated to SWV by the shipwrights wife and our Den Mother; Mary Bettger
The snarling runt of the litter; the Anona, affectionately called the Sea Pup, is a 14’ færing that was built by the Bettger Family. Perfect as an exhibit on land, as a landing craft or for beginner sailing instruction, the Sea Pup will also be used in Viking Camp to teach younger kids sailing, rowing and basic seamanship.
